Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Agriculture & Arts Expo
November 5, 2016
The “Students Think STEAM Expo” event proved to be just a phenomenal event for the students that attended. An estimated 2700 students from high schools, middle schools and elementary schools as close as Downtown LA and as far away as Hesperia converged on the LATTC campus to experience the college options of those interested in science, technology, engineering, arts/agriculture and math.
Two 11,000 square foot tents were filled with STEM-related vendors with a complete Trade Tech flavor to it. Physical sciences, chem /process tech, plumbing, electronics, architecture, applied sciences, LAH3C, solar, EOPS, Academic Transfer and Bridges, Fashion, Video production and editing, Drones, Electricity and Music and Physics were all visible and had the students mesmerized with their presentations.
LATTC Campus tours were going strong every hour on the hour.
Seminars on “How to Have Fun with Science”, “Booming Careers” and “Voices of Creativity” were buzzing with back to back sessions all day long.
Thank you to all our Sponsors, District 9, Vendors, LATTC, Panelists, Volunteers and most importantly ALL the schools in attendance. The passion to IGNITE, EXCITE and BUILD was evident throughout the entire day. Here is a snap shot of the days event:
